About the journal

Tourismuszentrum Ostsee is an independent travel journal about Germany’s Baltic coast. The English edition is for U.S. readers planning a trip to Germany’s Baltic coast. Articles cover destinations, day trips, coastal routes and the decisions involved in planning a vacation.

From an idea to a journey

A destination article helps you choose a place; a route article helps connect individual stops. Notes on wind, luggage, transport and travelling with children address questions that can change a day out. Articles do not replace current timetables, access notices or information supplied by operators.

Sources and changing conditions

Local information links to tourism organisations, transport operators or the responsible institutions. Opening hours, access and rules can change. Consult the linked information before departure and follow signs at the location. Photographs show places or situations discussed in the articles; they do not document a personal trip by the editorial team.
